Gaming Gear to Adore

I’ve noticed that ever since I bought a PS4 over a year ago there is nothing that I enjoy more than staying home and lounging around gaming.  One of my go to items is becoming yoga pants and a comfy top, plus with cats that get cat hair errrywhere I like to have “house clothes” and these work out great.  Plus sometimes I’m motivated to work out in an attempt to get back into shape and well nothing inspires me to do that more than fab workout clothes, am I right?  But who has that kind of time to shop for fun and maybe tres chic activewear?  Not I.  Enter subscription boxes….

Now I’m sure you’ve all heard about these.  You sign up to a brand (Julep, StichFix, Lost Blvd) and get monthly goodies delivered right to your door.  Try it, like it, keep it.  Pretty simple right?  Well if you’re like me maybe on occasion you want something, dare I say sexy???? Enter Adore Me.   What started out as a lingerie box subscription has also added on plus and activewear.   So like most services you take a quick quiz and they curate items for you.  Behold the magic of SCIENCE!  Then you pick and they ship it, like it, keep it.  It’s almost like a direct to consumer merchant so they can offer super great items at lower prices.  So here I’m thinking what a great idea this is.  Plus (I hope you’re not reading this mom) I can buy sexy undergarments….and not leave my apartment to do this.  Because that is soooooo 90’s…#aintnobodygottimeforthat

Look as women we all ENJOY wearing something sexy under our clothes and Adore Me’s mantra is “Its about what you leave on”.  Nothing can make us feel more empowered and confident then a great set of under garments (not to mention slimmer) trust me.  A new bra and I’m visually 10lbs lighter.  Go get a fitting and see.   I mean they are SO much more than just bra’s and panties now, so there is sure to be something for everyone.  Want to stay motivated to slay that workout?  Athleisure is not a new trend but seems to persist and Adore Me has some super cute styles, so you can look good either gaming or doing that downward dog pose. And even though I’m sitting around killing bosses and finding mystical quests, maybe I want to feel sexy yah dig?  Also nothing is better than a matching set and ladies is 2017, lets get with it.  Please invest in at least 2 matching sets of bra and panties (#stayclassy) and you can thank me later.  Wear it the next time you go for groceries, yoga or that Monday meeting and just see how you feel.

So click over and sign up today, refer a friend and get $15.  AND they have an app should you want to be strictly mobile, cause you know like why not? Treat yourself to some new gear and I’m sure the price will be just as good as waiting until someone has a sale.

Friyay OOTD 4/1/16

Its Friday, which means payday, casual work attire and start to a weekend of netflixing. Oh and its April fools… I’m sure like many of you, I wake up stare into the abyss known as my closet and think I have nothing to wear.  Yet there are hangers full of items.  I mean I still need to be fairly profesh ya know? So button downs and blouses are my staples, and I usually wear them on weekends.  I’m all about versatility and need items that can do both.  Plus mama’s on a budget so what’s old is new again! I wish I could say April fools, no budget for me.

Ladies Liberty

So last night I met up with my work thot for some food and dranks.  Although I don’t drink anymore I still ate and was a savage.  Its period season so ya’ll women know that means just shovel food as fast as possible into your mouth.  So we decided to go to the Liberty (I work right across the street) and invited another old coworker.  Course we hashed, browed and burned through gossip.

I ordered the turkey burger with duck fat fries (yea DUCK FAT), my one friend stayed safe with the margarita pizza, and the other ordered a Thai beef salad.  The burger was made with a chipotle mayo and had standard toppings with a side salad.  The turkey was seasoned and moist, which if anyone has made ground turkey knows that’s hard to do.  The fries were liberally coated in chopped garlic (yaaas!).  Now being that its shark week (click for reference) one could not be expected to NOT get desert.  Enter double chocolate cookies, with ice cream and fudge sauce.  Nuff said.

Overall a good place, with a decent selection of food and drinks.  Sadly the ambiance was a bit on the louder side but hey after a few Moscow mules who notices!  Overall 4 out of 5 forks.

Oh Snap! My Nails

I’m sure at one point we’ve all gotten a  mani, heard about jam berry or tried to do DIY nail art.  But the problem is either time, ideas, or stuck with whatever is in stock. So the other week I was on a plane flying home to Arizona and was reading the AA magazine when I came across this article about nail art and this app call Nail Snaps.  Nail snaps allows you to take an image and have it printed onto adhesives for your nails.  Way frickn cool! So all you do is download the app, pick a design, size and adjust it and viola new nail art.  The cool thing is that you can be unique and do what YOU like versus having to pick from pre selected designs (BORING!).

So check out the page, download the app and get on your way to creating custom nail art.  I’m going to order and let you guys know how it all turns out! And if you join check me out!

All black eurrything OOTD 3/11/15

Today was one of those days with getting dressed.  You know where you want to look presentable but want to stay home and rock jammies?  The beauty about NYC  is that you can wear all black at any time and no one thinks strangely about it.  Plus it seems to have given me a serious badass edge……Also I am wearing my new lipstick that my friend helped me pick out from MAC , Amorous is the name and I am getting lots of complements on it.

Modern Modani

So recently I just moved and am in the process of decorating and if you know me, you know my style is all over.  From baroque, modern, classic, cape cod to industrial.  But decorating a home is much like getting dressed, in that our personal style is reflected. So I have been scouring the web in search of things that reflect my style and found great sites such as joss and main, wayfair, anthroplogie and Modani. Modani is chock full of modern, clean lines with a touch of baroque such as their collection of sofas. After scrolling the site I came across some great pieces for a living room that I feel captures my personal style. Clean, minimal and eclectic with pops of color. That to me is what drives an outfit or room decor, that pop of color or texture that drives and ties the whole thing together. Kinda makes you go hmmmmmm

I started with the Bergamo leather sofa in gray and white. If you don’t know gray is pseudo-neutral and a great base color. I then paired it with the modern glass table with chrome trim, because it gives that modern, clean aesthetic that I like. Keeping with the clean leather look I found the Barcelona chair that ties into the sofa and the table. But to add some dimension and je ne sais quoi I like to add some red. Red will give that POP and the gray is a great basic to be against. I also love skulls and found a great aluminum print featuring it and using red. Now to really give that edge, I found the lola red chair to act as the focal piece of my room. And according to Modani it takes any room from drab to FABAHULOUS!

Check out how I pulled them all together in polyvore and let me know your thoughts.
