Gaming Gear to Adore

I’ve noticed that ever since I bought a PS4 over a year ago there is nothing that I enjoy more than staying home and lounging around gaming.  One of my go to items is becoming yoga pants and a comfy top, plus with cats that get cat hair errrywhere I like to have “house clothes” and these work out great.  Plus sometimes I’m motivated to work out in an attempt to get back into shape and well nothing inspires me to do that more than fab workout clothes, am I right?  But who has that kind of time to shop for fun and maybe tres chic activewear?  Not I.  Enter subscription boxes….

Now I’m sure you’ve all heard about these.  You sign up to a brand (Julep, StichFix, Lost Blvd) and get monthly goodies delivered right to your door.  Try it, like it, keep it.  Pretty simple right?  Well if you’re like me maybe on occasion you want something, dare I say sexy???? Enter Adore Me.   What started out as a lingerie box subscription has also added on plus and activewear.   So like most services you take a quick quiz and they curate items for you.  Behold the magic of SCIENCE!  Then you pick and they ship it, like it, keep it.  It’s almost like a direct to consumer merchant so they can offer super great items at lower prices.  So here I’m thinking what a great idea this is.  Plus (I hope you’re not reading this mom) I can buy sexy undergarments….and not leave my apartment to do this.  Because that is soooooo 90’s…#aintnobodygottimeforthat

Look as women we all ENJOY wearing something sexy under our clothes and Adore Me’s mantra is “Its about what you leave on”.  Nothing can make us feel more empowered and confident then a great set of under garments (not to mention slimmer) trust me.  A new bra and I’m visually 10lbs lighter.  Go get a fitting and see.   I mean they are SO much more than just bra’s and panties now, so there is sure to be something for everyone.  Want to stay motivated to slay that workout?  Athleisure is not a new trend but seems to persist and Adore Me has some super cute styles, so you can look good either gaming or doing that downward dog pose. And even though I’m sitting around killing bosses and finding mystical quests, maybe I want to feel sexy yah dig?  Also nothing is better than a matching set and ladies is 2017, lets get with it.  Please invest in at least 2 matching sets of bra and panties (#stayclassy) and you can thank me later.  Wear it the next time you go for groceries, yoga or that Monday meeting and just see how you feel.

So click over and sign up today, refer a friend and get $15.  AND they have an app should you want to be strictly mobile, cause you know like why not? Treat yourself to some new gear and I’m sure the price will be just as good as waiting until someone has a sale.

P.S. FREE EXCHANGES-easy peasy ladies….

Modern Modani

So recently I just moved and am in the process of decorating and if you know me, you know my style is all over.  From baroque, modern, classic, cape cod to industrial.  But decorating a home is much like getting dressed, in that our personal style is reflected. So I have been scouring the web in search of things that reflect my style and found great sites such as joss and main, wayfair, anthroplogie and Modani. Modani is chock full of modern, clean lines with a touch of baroque such as their collection of sofas.. After scrolling the site I came across some great pieces for a living room that I feel captures my personal style. Clean, minimal and eclectic with pops of color. That to me is what drives an outfit or room decor, that pop of color or texture that drives and ties the whole thing together.  Kinda makes you go hmmmmmm

I started with the Bergamo leather sofa in gray and white. If you don’t know gray is pseudo-neutral and a great base color. I then paired it with the modern glass table with chrome trim, because it gives that modern, clean aesthetic that I like. Keeping with the clean leather look I found the Barcelona chair that ties into the sofa and the table. But to add some dimension and je ne sais quoi I like to add some red. Red will give that POP and the gray is a great basic to be against. I also love skulls and found a great aluminum print featuring it and using red. Now to really give that edge, I found the lola red chair to act as the focal piece of my room. And according to Modani it takes any room from drab to FABAHULOUS!

Check out how I pulled them all together in Polyvore and let me know your thoughts.

Be Creative Be You

So last week I got a great email from Daily Candy about an interview they did with Miki Agrawal about starting your own business and quitting the 9-5.  Find your passion and understand what fields they translate into.  Also look at your closest friends, are they mover and shakers or unmotivated and no goals?  You become what your environment is so look and evaluate what you surround yourself with.  This really resonated with me as I recently quit my job and am looking for work.  While I am selling the great chloe+isabel jewelry (which you all should check out my boutique) its not generating a real source of income.  Most of it is that I need to spend some time walking the beat and talking to people.  But I digress, after reading this article I think its time I sit down and look at what I enjoy doing and where I want to go.  Looking to make a change yourself?  Read the article and if you have left your job let me know how that worked out for you.

A Storm of Thoughts

So I wanted to take a moment and vent a bit here.  I am at a point in my life that I am not happy with where I am and want to make a change.  However the change would be major and require a huge sacrifice from myself, and I think that in the end it will be what I needed.  However I think that I am stuck in my rut of comfortablity and am afraid to make the changes needed.  I am trying to play by “rules” that others tell me I should abide by but I am so burnt out that I dont have the energy to engage in the game.  I have lost my raison d’etre and want to find it desperatly.  I dont want to be a zobmie just shuffeling around day to day.  If you ask what I do what I feel so lost I cant give a straight answer.  I am hoping that I find the light before I make such a momumental change in my life, but I think that it not the plan lol.  I do have faith that everything will work itself out as it should.  Thanks for listening guys!

Le home goods?

So once again while aimlessly walking the streets of NYC I came across a fun homegoods store on 9th ave btwn 18th and 19.  Of course naturally I had to stop in recalling the three years of french I took in high school.  They offered everything from pillows, coasters, and crystal decanters (which I am going back to buy!).  However the space (like most spaces in NYC) was tight, there are plenty of intresting items to look at.  I managed to snag some photos.  If you are looking for intresting home pieces this may be a great stop as it is reminiscant of ABC home, minus the space and price!
Enjoy!
